What does "Forshock" mean?

We are a Forshock. No really, when we came into being we wanted to be called "foreshock." Just one problem: Foreshock was already a company! Well, we really liked the name so we just removed the "e" and called it a day. Foreshock went out of business a few years later. Oh well, we already have business cards and a website with this name...

A foreshock is a small earthquake before a much larger one, the exact opposite of an aftershock. We wanted to use this to mean something along the lines of being ahead of the pack, before the "others" in our field.

Who started Forshock?

Forshock was started originally as Forshock Design by Mike Crabtree in 1999. The original goal was to create and develop websites for local businesses in the high desert. In that time we have moved into other computer related fields including application development, industrial control, water and wastewater automation, radio communications, computer networking and technology consulting.

What does the logo have to do with Forshock? It's a blue S?!

Not entirely sure... When developing the name we came across the idea of using "For Shock" so to accentuate the "Shock" we added a little hurricane like design to the S. This went through many revisions from there. It just seemed to catch on, so it stays.
